Supa crema de rosii / Tomato cream soup



Ingrediente / ingredients:

- 5 kg rosii - 5 kg tomatoes
- o ceapa - An onion
- un morcov - A carrot
- o cescuta de orez - A cup of rice
- un ardei gras - A yellow pepper
- sare si piper dupa gust - Salt and pepper to taste

Din aceasta cantitate de rosii, ies cam 3 l de supa.
Rosiile se spala bine si se taie in 4. Se pun intr-o oala fiert cu o cescuta de apa. Rosiile isi lasa apa si nu mai este nevoie de foarte multa apa.

From this quantity of tomato we get about 3 l soup  .
Wash tomatoes and cut it in 4. Place in a pot with a cup of  water. Tomatoes leave their water and do not need much water.




Calim ceapa si morcovul in 2-3 linguri de ulei de masline.

Fry onion and carrot in 2-3 tablespoons of olive oil.



Dupa ce au fiert rosiile, le separam de seminte si coaja. Le punem intr-o strecuratoare si le frecam cu o lingura de lemn sa scoatem pulpa.

After boiling the tomatoes, we separate the peel and seed from pulp . We put them in a strainer and rub them with a wooden spoon to get the pulp.



Turnam pulpa peste ceapa si morcov, adaugam orezul si ardeiul si lasam sa fiarba.

Pour the pulp over the onion and carrot , add the rice and pepper and let it boil.


La sfarsit punem sare si piper dupa gust.
Se serveste cu smantana si ardei iute.

Varza proaspata picanta / Spicy Fresh cabbage



Ingrediente / ingredients:

- 2.5 kg varza proaspata  - 2.5 kg fresh cabbage
- cimbru - thyme
- foi de dafin - Bay leaves
- sare  - Salt 
- 3-4 linguri pasta de tomate - 3-4 tablespoons tomato paste
- 1 lingura fulgi de ardei iute - 1 tablespoon cayenne pepper
- 3-4 linguri ulei de masline - 3-4 tablespoons olive oil

Tocam marunt varza si o frecam cu sare ca sa se inmoaie. O punem intr-o tava, adaugam uleiul, cimbru si frunzele de dafin. Bagam la cuptor pana scade toata apa care si-o lasa.

Cut the cabbage into small pieces and rub with salt to get her soften. Put in a pan, add oil, thyme and bay leaves. Stuffing in the oven until all the water decreases is evaporate.



Adaugam pasta de tomate si fulgii de piper. Amestecam bine.

Add tomato paste and cayenne pepper. Mix well.




Lasam la cuptor pana se caramelizeaza usor, amestecand din cand in cand.
Se serveste ca garnitura sau ca atare cu mamaliguta.

Pandispan cu capsuni / Strawberries Sponge Cake



Ingrediente / ingredients:
- 8 oua - 8 eggs
- 2 cani de faina - 2 cups of flour
- 2 cani de zahar - 2 cups sugar
- 8 linguri de ulei - 8 tablespoons oil
- 2 esente de vanilie - 2 vanilla
- un praf de copt - Baking powder
- 3 linguri de apa - 3 tablespoons water
- 1 kg capsuni - 1 kg strawberries


Separam galbenusurile de albusurile. Batem albusurile spuma tare cu un praf de sare.
Facem un sirop din zahar si apa. Lasam la foc mic pana se topeste tot zaharul. Turnam in fir subtire siropul fierbinte peste albusuri si continuam sa mixam pana incorporam tot siropul.

Separate egg yolks from white eggs. Beat egg whites with a pinch of salt.
We make a syrup of sugar and water. We leave to simmer until all the sugar melts. Pour the hot syrup over egg whites and continue mixing to incorporate all the syrup.




Frecam galbenusurile pana se albesc. Adaugam uleiul si esenta de vanilie.

Mixing the yolks to blanch. Add oil and vanilla.




Turnam galbenusurile peste albusuri, adaugam faina si praful de copt.

Pour over egg whites the yolks, add flour and baking powder.



Tapetam o tava cu hartie de copt si turnam compozitia.
Spalam bine capsunile si le taiem in 2 sau 4 , depinde cat de mari sunt, daca sunt micute se pot pune si intregi. Le punem deasupra compozitiei.

Put baking paper on a tray and pour composition.
Wash thoroughly strawberries and cut them into 2 or 4, depending on how big they are, if they are tiny you  can put whole.  Put above the composition.



Lasam la cuptor la foc mica pana trece testul scobitorii.

We leave on small fire in the oven until toothpick test passes.



Lasam prajitura sa se raceasca in tava si apoi o putem portiona.

Pilaf cu pui si masline / Chicken Pilaf with olives



Ingrediente / ingredients:
- orez - rice
- ceapa verde - spring onion
- morcov - carrot
- un piept de pui - Chicken breast
- masline - olive
- ulei de masline - Olive oil
- sare si piper dupa gust - Salt and pepper to taste

Calim ceapa verde si morcovul taiat cubulete in ulei de masline.

Fry  green onion and diced carrot in olive oil.




Adaugam carnea de pui si orezul. Lasam la foc mic pana cand orezul absoarbe uleiul.

Add chicken and rice. We leave to simmer until the rice absorbs the oil.




Adaugam apa si maslinele. Eu pun la o masura de orez , 3 masuri de apa. Lasam sa fiarba la foc mic.

Add water and olives. I put a measure of rice, three measures of water. We leave to simmer.




Cand este gata, punem un capac deasupra si stingem focul.

When is ready, put a lid over and extinguish the fire.



Se serveste cald.

Sardine proaspete la gratar cu usturoi / Grilled sardines with garlic


Ingrediente/ingredients:

- sardine proaspete - Fresh sardines
- usturoi - Garlic
- patrunjel - parsley
- lamaie - lemon

Spalam si curatam bine sardinele. Le punem pe gratarul bine incins si le intoarcem o singura data.

Wash and clean the sardines well. We put them on a hot grill.



Le asezam pe un platou , strivim niste usturoi, tocam patrunjelul si punem deasupra.

Place them on a platter, crush some garlic, cut the parsley and put on top.


Se servesc fierbinti cu zeama de lamaie si mamaliguta!

Prajitura desteapta cu ciocolata / Smart cake with chocolate


Ingrediente / ingredients:
- 350 g zahar - 350 g sugar
- 150 g faina - 150 g flour
- 9 oua - 9 eggs
- o esenta de rom - A rum
- 200 g unt topit  - 200 g butter 
- 200 g ciocolata - 200 g chocolate
- 50 g cacao - 50 g cacao
- 1l lapte - 1l milk


Separam ouale si batem galbenusurile cu zaharul pana obtinem o crema. Adaugam ciocolata topita la bain-marie si racita in prealabil.

Separate the eggs and beat the yolks with sugar until we get a cream. Add melted chocolate in a bain-marie and cooled in advance.




Adaugam untul topit si racit.

Add melted butter.


Adaugam cacao si esenta de rom.

We add cocoa and rum.


Adaugam cate o lingura de faina si cate putin lapte pana le incorporam pe amandoua in totalitate.

Add one tablespoon of flour and a little milk until fully incorporate them both.


Albusurile le batem spuma tare si le incorporam treptat in compozitia de ciocolata.

Mix the egg white hard and gradually incorporate them into the composition of chocolate.


Turnam compozitia intr-o tava tapetata cu hartie de copt si o bagam la cuptor la 150 grade , cca o ora.

Pour mixture into a pan lined with baking paper and stuffing in the oven at 150 degrees for about an hour.


Dupa ce este gata, o lasam sa se raceasca in tava si o portionam.

Crema de branza cu avocado / Cream cheese with avocado



Ingrediente / ingredients :

- 200 g branza de vaci - 200 g cheese
- un fir de ceapa verde - A green onion
- un avocado - An avocado
- 2 catei de usturoi - 2 cloves garlic
- sare si piper dupa gust - Salt and pepper to taste

Punem toate ingredientele intr-un castron.

Put all ingredients in a bowl.


Le pasam pana devine totul o crema.

Mix until it becomes a cream.


Se serveste cu paine prajita.
